Best of Flowers For Challenges

I am not sure how this happened again but I decided to participate in two challenges again this week and managed to make one card to fit both.  I didn’t do it on purpose this time.  I just made one card for Freshly Made Sketches and then went to Create with Connie and Mary and the sketch fit both.  Here are the two sketches:

This time I used the Best of Flowers Stamp Set.  Stampin Up! is featuring one “Best Of” stamps a month during 2013 as part of their 25th anniversary.  I really like the Best of Flowers that was March’s set.  I used the “thumping” method on the Hydrangea.  This is where you color it with one color (I used Wisteria Wonder) and them ‘thump” another color over the top of the first color with a marker.  I used Elegant Eggplant for the second color.

Oh, Whale With My Digital Studio

My Digital Studio is a great way to make a card for an occasion that you just don’t have the right stamp set to use.  Some of my friends are starting to have grandchildren, something I am not so lucky to have so far (are you listening boys?).  I don’t have very many, if any at all, baby stamps but I have tons of choices with My Digital Studio.  This next stamp uses the Sunshine and Sprinkles Digital Collection Disc from the Occasion Catalog.  It took me about 5 minutes to make.  Very easy!

Summer Silhouettes

This is another stamp set that I got from the annual catalog when it first came out and have not used a lot.  The problem I have is that Stampin Up makes way too many stamps sets I like.  There are only 365 days in a year so I have a hard time showing every one off!

This card uses Summer Silhouettes.  It is a two step set which means you stamp two different stamps to get one look.  In this case, the stems are separate from the flower tops so you can mix and match your colors without having to use markers.

Patterned Party

Today I noticed that the argyle in the Patio Party Designer Series Paper matches the argyle in the Patterned Party Stamp Set.  The only problem is argyle can be kind of manly but in this case it is Primrose Pink which is not the most masculine color (although would make a nice shirt!).  In any case, I decided to make a birthday card using these two items and I think they look nice together.

Two By Two Baby Card

I love the Two By Two Single Stamp that features Noah’s ark and the animals.  I think it is just adorable.  I made this boy baby card using that stamp as well as the Designer Series Paper called Print Poetry.  It is a very simple card that you can dress up by coloring in the stamp but I decided to leave it plain.
