Freshly Made Sketches

Freshly Made Sketches #88

Freshly Made Sketches #88

I needed a quick and easy birthday card for a man and just happen to check the Freshly Make Sketches challenge and thought it was a great sketch to use.  Sometimes you just need to make a card and you don’t have a lot of time.  What could be easier than using a couple of pieces of card stock you already had cut, ink one stamp and run one edge through the Big Shot?  The stamp I used is from Delightful Dozen and is perfect for just about any sentiment.

Mosaic Madness and Mojo Monday

Mojo Monday 295

For Mojo Monday I used the new stamp set called Mosaic Madness that is coming out in the new catalog. You can start ordering from this new catalog starting Friday, May 31st at 2:00 PM (EST).  That day is also a special day because you will also be able to order from the 2012/2013 catalog and the Occasions catalog at the same time!  I don’t think Stampin Up! has ever done that before.

Here is the Mojo Monday sketch that I used:

My Digital Studio Card

Sample Card-001

One of the best things about My Digital Studio is you can make a card really quickly when needed.  There are a ton of pre-designed cards with some of the digital content that it comes with.  I made this card in about 20 seconds.  I took a card that was already designed and added some shadows to the flags to give it some depth and changed the background to Pool Party because it was white and you would not be able to see it on my blog.  It was so easy! Now is a great time to buy My Digital Studio because some of the print products and digital content is 25% Off!

Oh, Hello With Some Sneak Peeks

Sneak Peek Colors & Flowers

Sneak Peek Colors & Flowers

I am absolutely loving the new colors that Stampin Up! is going to have in their new catalog which starts May 31st!  This next card is made with a couple of those colors which you may recognize from past In Colors.  The colors are called Bermuda Bay and Soft Sky.  When they were In Colors a few years ago, I loved them both so I am so happy to see them return.

If you look closely you will see another sneak peek.  See the flower?  That was made with White Simply Pressed Clay and Buttons and Blossoms Simply Pressed Molds.  They are so easy to make and I love the way they turn out.

The Open Sea

The Open Sea

You have probably thought lately that Stampin Up! doesn’t have any other colors than the new ones since that is what I seem to be using more of nowadays.  No worries.  They still have lots of other colors to choose from.

This masculine card was made using The Open Sea.  It is my favorite set to use for masculine cards.  What man doesn’t like ships or nautical things?  I used the Window Frame Framelits to make the frame around the ship and then put it on the card base to give it a little dimension.
