Having A Tea Party With Fresh Made Sketches

Freshly Made Sketches

Freshly Made Sketches

For this week’s Freshly Made Sketches I used the new stamp set called Tea Party.  There are two morning drink sets in the new catalog.  One features coffee (it is called A Perfect Blend) and I have noticed that many of my coffee drinking friends have gotten this set.  I have never had a cup of coffee in my life but I do drink one cup of tea in the morning so I thought it was appropriate for me to get this set.  This “battle” between coffee and tea drinkers has been going on for a long time.  It is kind of like the Android versus Apple conflict.  Don’t ask what side of the fence I am in that argument, although most of you probably know already.  Just ask my husband, Rob!  For now, I won’t even go there!  I am sorry for my digression.

Anyway, here is this week’s Freshly Made Sketch.

Secret Garden & A Sneak Peek

Can you see the sneak peek in this card?  It is a new Embossing Folder from the Holiday Catalog called Stylish Stripes Textured Impressions.  You will be able to order this beginning August 1st.  If you haven’t seen the Holiday Catalog, you are missing out on some great products.  If you live locally and would like to pick one up from me, just email me and let me know.  If you don’t live near me, I would be happy to send you a catalog for the cost of shipping.

This card also uses the stamp set called Secret Garden that has matching Framelits and a new set called Yippee-Skippee. Yippee Skippee has some cute modern sayings such as “carbs, schmarbs! Eat The Cake”  and my favorite “I Freakin’ Love You!”.   Of course, I  had to use my favorite accessory called Candy Dots.  The look like brads but they just stick on the card stock without having to punch a hole in your paper and they come in all the color families.

Mojo Monday & A Color Challenge

Here is a card I made for two challenges.  One is Mojo Monday and the other is for a color challenge on a Stampin Up! Demonstrator web site I belong to.  The colors I had to use are Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe and Wisteria Wonder.  Mojo Monday’s challenge was to make either a square card or a round card. As you can see, I chose the square card.

The stamp set I used is called Chalk Talk and has matching Framelits.  If you buy them as a Bundle you can save 15% off the regular price.  The ribbon is the new In Color 3/8″ Ruffle Stretch Trim in Crisp Cantaloupe.

Convention Make ‘N Take

Tag A Bag Gift Box

Tag A Bag Gift Box

This is another Make ‘N Take we did at Convention.  It uses a Tag A Bag Gift Box from the annual catalog.  They are 6 7/8″ x 2 1/8″ x 2 1/2″ and come with an acetate sleeve to slip over it.  They are great for filling with cookies to give away as gifts.  They also are a great way to store your Washi Tape because the rolls fit perfectly inside.  I used the stamp set called Hello, Lovely to stamp the Thank You and You’re The Best in Calypso Coral and then cut the stamp apart to make two separate ones.  I attached the Thank You to the cover on the inside of the box and the You’re The Best Stamp on top of the acetate cover with a Glue Dot.  The feathers were made out of card stock and  were so easy to make.

New Product Called UnDefined

Have you ever wanted a stamp but couldn’t find the perfect image? Maybe you have a special family logo or a sketch you would like to have as a stamp. Well now you can! Undefined is Stampin’ Up!’s new stamp carving product line. You define the rubber stamp any way you want.

When you carve your very own stamp, you have will have an entirely new and different creative experience. And when you’re finished, you will have created a one-of-a-kind stamp!

How exactly do you carve a stamp? Watch the video for a tutorial.

Now, no laughing!  Here is my first attempt at carving my own stamp.  It was fun but I think I need more practice.  Do you think Stampin Up! would hire me as a stamp carver?
