Embellished Events

I know it is the end of September but I am having a hard time giving up spring and summer this year.  I apologize ahead of time if you have given it up long ago.  Maybe when the first snow hits (oh please not for a while yet), I will be ready.

I made this card using Embellished Events.  It is the set I always recommend to a new stamper because it has a stamp for everything in it.  You can use it for birthdays, Christmas, weddings, baby showers, New Year’s and just a plain thinking of you card.  If you look really closely you can see I put a tiny pearl in the center of each flower.  Now, let me tell you.  I love Stampin Up! Basic Pearls.  They come in four different sizes and I used the smallest.  They were not the easiest thing to use until I figured out that if I picked them up with my paper snips, I could pop them right on the card.  Why didn’t I think of this before??

Festive Flurry Christmas Card

I made this simple Christmas card using the Festive Flurry Stamp Set with the matching Framelits.  You can buy them both in a Bundle and save 15%.  I had cut out a snowflake in Whisper White for another project I was working on and realized I cut out one too many.  Instead of wasting it, I used it to make this card.  I took the larger snowflake and cut the smaller one out of the middle of it and attached it to the card with Dimensionals.  I am not sure if you can tell by the picture, but I made the snowflake in the middle with Heat & Stick Powder and Stampin Glitter in Silver which is in the Holiday Catalog.  To be totally honest with you, I am not sure if I have ever used my Heat & Stick Powder because I didn’t know quite what to do with it.  Then the Holiday Catalog came out and offered Glitter in Black & Orange and Silver & Gold.  The best way to put on the glitter is to use Heat & Stick Powder.

A Hybrid My Digital Studio Card

I know I have talked about My Digital Studio (MDS) before but it really is a great program from Stampin Up!.  I really liked this single pumpkin stamp called Halloween Happiness from the Holiday Catalog but I don’t really make Halloween cards so I didn’t really want to buy it.  This is where My Digital Studio (MDS) is great.  I just downloaded the stamp to my computer for just $2.95 (no shipping).  MDS allows you to “color” the stamp any way you want to.  First I changed the entire stamp to Pumpkin Pie and then colored the leaves, stems and words right in the program. It is very easy to do!  No cleaning up stamps, no ink on your fingers and colored perfectly!  Just color, print and attach it to your card stock.

Pennant Parade Birthday

I made this quick and easy birthday card using the stamp set called Pennant Parade.  You just stamp the pennants and then punch them out using the matching punch called Petite Pennants Builder Punch.  The happy day stamp is from the set called Happy Day (imagine that!).  I am not sure how well you can see it, but I embossed the Marina Mist card stock with little hearts.  You can get this embossing folder in a set with two others called Adorning Accents.  One of the other folders in this set is a scalloped embossing folder and the third is a flourish design that looks great on the edge of an envelope.  Both of them have matching Edgelits also called Adorning Accents.

Just Wanted To Say Hello

I know it is Fall but I don’t want to give up those beautiful summery In Colors.  According to What Not To Wear (which I will miss terribly because I liked that show), you can wear white all year long.  I figured Coastal Cabana is ok too!  PS:  Don’t forget that your purse does not have to match your outfit anymore!

I made this card using the stamp set called Lacy & Lovely.  It is a cute set with lots of circles and words with a beautiful font.  I cut out the middle doily with a circle from the Circle Collections Framelits and the background to this from the Deco Labels Framelits.  It was a perfect fit!

Truly Grateful With My Digital Studio

My Digital Studio

My Digital Studio

Let’s face it.  If I had my way I would own every stamp set that Stampin Up! ever made.  Well, there might be one or two I would pass on, but I love the majority of them.  Now my husband, Rob thinks I already do own everything in the catalog.  Unfortunately, my wallet does not agree with me.

This is when My Digital Studio comes to the rescue.  Even though I don’t actually own this stamp set called Truly Grateful, I can still use it because it is a digital download.  I just purchased it on my Stampin Up! website and downloaded it immediately to my computer.  Then I made this card in about 1 minute.  I could send it to the Stampin Up! printing company or I could print it myself on my own printer.  One of the best things about My Digital Studio is that it has all the Stampin Up! colors.  Even the retired colors are available.
