All Good Things Must Come To An End

Today is a sad day.  It is the last day of Sale-A-Bration.  Who doesn’t love free things?  Usually when I order from Stampin’ Up! it is more than $50 and during the months of February and March you get extra free things when you place an order of this amount or more.  They had some beautiful things you could get for free this year.  I think it has been one of my favorite Sale-A-Bration catalogs since I started with Stampin’ Up!.  You can see all the items available by clicking on the Sale-A-Bration catalog on the right hand side of my blog or click HERE.

Here are some examples of cards I made using the 2014 Sale-A-Bration products:

Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper:

Banner Blast and Banner Punch:

Decorative Dots Embossing Folder and You’re Lovely:

It is also the last day you can order any of “The Best Of” stamp sets.  It was fun to see what stamps would show up each month.  My favorite, of course, is The Best of Flowers.  To see all The Best Of sets just click on the link above that says “Merchandise Not In The Catalog” and scroll down.  This is a great way to see all the items available for purchase that are not in any catalog.

Hurry and order today before it is too late!

Flower Garden Chalk Talk

Flower Garden, Chalk Talk

Spring has arrived.  At least the calendar says Spring has arrived.  I think someone forgot to tell Mother Nature this because I still have a foot of snow in my yard!  I won’t go into what an awful winter it was because I think the rest of the country already knows this.  In any case, I decided to make a card using Spring colors.  Pink Pirouette is a perfect color to use for Spring.  This card is also a fun fold because it opens in the middle instead of at one end.  I used 5/8″ Organza Ribbon to tie it together.  The embossing folder on the left side is called Flower Garden.  It makes a very pretty card.  The For You stamps is from Chalk Talk.

Now let’s just hope Mother Nature reads this post and realizes it really is Spring!

Tomorrow is the last day to for Sale-a-bration!  Get your free merchandise before it is gone forever!

Freshly Made Sketches Fine Feathers

Fine Feathers

I have not participated in a sketch challenge in a while so I decided to play along with Freshly Made Sketches this week.  Here is this week’s sketch:

For this sketch I used the stamp set called Fine Feathers.  It is a really cute set that has five different kinds of feathers.  I used three of them on this card.  The button I made using the Stampin’ Up! Simply Pressed Clay and the Buttons $ Blossoms Simply Pressed Clay Molds.   I also decided to use the Designer Series Paper called Sweet Sorbet from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.  This paper is free with a qualifying purchase but is only available for two more days!  Place a $50 order on or before March 31st and pick out a free item from the Sale-A-Bration catalog!

A Banner Birthday

Create A Cupcake

Every once in a while I will look at my stamp sets and realize I have not used one of them in a while.  This is how I felt about Create A Cupcake.  It is a great birthday set and also has a matching punch called Cupcake Builder!  The punch is great because, not only does it punch out a cupcake, you can also punch a candle, cherry and sprinkles!  I decided to pair this stamp set with one of the Sale-a-bration sets you can get for free with a qualifying purchase called Banner Blast.  This set also has a matching Banner punch making it so easy to create banners.  I think they are perfect together!

Hello Four You

Four You

I was cleaning up my stamp room the other day (which I try to do every once in a while so I don’t get swallowed up by the paper tornado) and I came across a lot of small pieces of Designer Series Paper that I had previously cut for a workshop.  Turns out they were the perfect width to use with the Banner Framelits.  I actually accidentally came up with this card layout.  I was cutting the pieces into banners and then putting them on my stamping mat and they fell into a pattern that looked like this.  Sometimes these things work out that way.

The stamp set I used is called Four You.  The Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper was free with a qualifying purchase during Sale-a-bration.  There are only 4 more days to get this product for free!

Grunge Meets Flowers

Grunge Meets Flowers

My friend, Buffy, makes the most gorgeous vintage cards where she rips and tears and smudges and splats all over the place and the cards come out so beautiful.  She uses the stamp set called Gorgeous Grunge a lot to make these cards.  I, on the other hand, am a clean stamper.  You won’t see any torn paper or anything distressed looking yet I also use Gorgeous Grunge.  It just goes to show you how one stamp set can be so versatile.

The Designer Series Paper I used on this card was free from the Sale-a-bration catalog and is called Sweet Sorbet.  It has great colors that are soft yet also has a bit of black.  You also can get this paper for free with a $50 purchase until March 31st.  After that, you can’t buy or get it free.

The flowers are from Petite Petals and Flower Shop.  I used 3/8″ Ruffle Stretch Trim Ribbon in Crisp Cantaloupe and the sentiment is from Itty Btty Banners.

A Fun Camera Card

Camera Card

I saw a card similar to this one when I was “hopping” on a blog hop only I got sidetracked and lost the web site I saw it on.  I think it was German Demonstrators hopping because it was not in English so I had no idea what they were saying.  Anyway, I thought it was kind of cute so I decided to try to figure out how to make something similar.  I used the Envelope Punch Board to make the camera card base.  I cut out the “viewer window” with my Ticket Duo Builder Punch.  The Designer Series Paper is called Kaleidoscope and is in the Occasion Catalog.  Of course, the stamp is one I designed called Circle Monogram.

Remember, there is less than a week before Sale-a-bration ends!  Earn FREE merchandise with a qualifying purchase!  Get an extra $30 in Hostess Benefits with a $300 workshop (or order)!  Join my Stampin Up! family and get an extra $25 with your starter kit!
