Stampin’ Up! has an awesome Holiday Catalog this year! I think I want just about everything in it. One of my favorite things is the new Gift Card Envelope Thinlit.
Gift cards are big at holiday time. I gave up trying to figure out a gift for many of my relatives a long time ago and started giving them gift cards to their favorite restaurant or store. Many gift cards don’t come with envelopes anymore and if they do, they are just plain boring white. Now you can make your own envelopes and decorate them any way you wish. It is so easy to do with the new Gift Card Envelope Thinlit. You just run it through the Big Shot and it comes out cut and scored perfectly. It also includes a heart or circle to make the closures as well as a couple of banners. The biggest trick to it is to make sure you don’t put your closures in too tightly or you can’t wind the Baker’s Twine around them.
If you give a lot of gift cards, then you really need to order this! It is amazing!
This is a Clean and Simple card that only took a few minutes to make. Geometrical is one of those stamp sets that I have always wanted but never got around to buying. Well, I finally did it and I love it. One of the stamps says “cheer up buttercup” which of course, makes me start humming the song “Build Me Up Buttercup”. I have this habit of associating a lot of stamps with songs lately!
Another nice part about this set is that it has a matching Triangle Punch so there is no cutting out (as you know that is not one of my favorite things to do). It makes it even easier!
I hate to point this out but there are only 117 days left until Christmas! That is a pretty scary thought. Not only will it be Christmas but it will also be winter and I certainly don’t look forward to that!
Here is my first Christmas card of the season. It uses a Photopolymer Stamp Set that is in the Holiday Catalog called (appropriately) White Christmas. The set has thirteen stamps in it. I love the trees the best but it also has a cute station wagon with a tree that can go on top. The nice thing about Photopolymer is you can line up the stamps because they are clear. They also stick really well the the Stampin’ Up! Clear blocks.
If you look closely you will also see the little snowflake sequin that is also in the Holiday Catalog. You get 450 different sequins in this snowflake shape and two different sized silver round sequins.
The new Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog starts today! You are going to love it. There is something for everyone in it and in my case, there is lots of somethings I want! There are Halloween stamps, matching Framelits and kits. There are stamp sets for Thanksgiving. There are beautiful elegant Christmas stamps, as well as some cute, quirky ones. There Thinlits and Framelits and Punches oh my! The Designer Series Paper is gorgeous. There is ribbon, twine and Designer Washi tape. Honestly, this is one of the best catalogs I have seen.
If you don’t have a Holiday Catalog you can pick one up for free from me or I will mail you one for the cost of postage. Just shoot me an email if you need one.
The new Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog (starts August 28th!) is a dream come true if you love stars! It has star stamps, a Confetti Stars Punch, and a Lucky Stars Embossing Folder. For this card, I used the Confetti Stars Punch and the Lucky Stars Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The stamp is from Pictogram Punches which also has some star stamps as well as the one I used. It like star heaven!
If you don’t have a Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog, you can have one free if you come pick it up or just pay for the cost of postage and I will mail you one.
This is another card we made at the class I held at our local Art Center. It is a bookmark card. The receiver can actually take the bookmark off the card to use and still have a card to look at.
When you remove the bookmark, there is a hidden birthday message underneath. It was very easy to make. I just took a 1.75″ x 8.5″ piece of cardstock and scored it in half. Then I added the Designer Series Paper (1.5″ x 8.5″), the Circle (2″ Circle Punch) and the Sweetheart on the end. Inside are two magnets that stick to each other that hold the bookmark in place. Cute, huh?
Yesterday was my birthday (thank you for all the birthday wishes). My oldest friend (well she is not my oldest friend age-wise but has been my friend since we were 16) came to visit and I haven’t seen her in years. She looks exactly the same as she did when we were 16 and we picked up our friendship as if we had seen each other just yesterday.
I thought that since it was such an amazing day I would use the stamp set called Amazing Birthday. I also used the sun image from Kinda Eclectic for the background. That stamp is a great way to highlight something because of all the rays. The little arrow is a new punch from the Annual Catalog called What’s Up.
