Butterfly Basics Club Card

Butterfly Basics, Butterfly Thinlits

This is one of the cards we made at our monthly club meeting last week.  It uses the stamp set called Butterfly Basics that is in the 2015 Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog.  The set has matching Framelits called Butterfly Framelits and you can save 15% by buying them both in a bundle!  One of the best hints I have ever seen on the internet is the discovery that unscented dryer sheets help when you are cutting out an image that has a lot of pieces such as this butterfly.  It is an awesome hint.  I don’t know who discovered it but they are a genius.  When you run a die through your Big Shot use this sandwich and you will have no trouble:

Multipurpose Platform or Magnetic Platform
Dryer Sheet
Waxed Paper
Die (face down)

When you run it through your Big Shot, most of the little pieces will stick to the dryer sheet.  The waxed paper keeps the cardstock from sticking to the die too.  It is awesome!  Try it!

We used most of  the 2014/2015 In Colors to make this card.  The only one we did not use was Blackberry Bliss.  I love that all the In Colors go together so well.  It is fun to get new colors every year and I am so glad they last for two.  Of course, I am always sad when they retire until I see the new ones.

Don’t forget it is Sale-a-bration time! Earn FREE merchandise with a qualifying purchase! Get an extra $25 in Hostess Benefits with a $250 workshop (or order)! Join my Stampin Up! family and get a free card kit or 2 free Sale-a-bration items!
