It is that time again for another Watercooler Challenge! This time our inspiration is from Kath. She gave us this photo to work with.
The colors are amazing in this photo. The first thing I though of was our stamp set called Four Feathers. I am so sad that this set is retiring. It has a matching set of Framelits that is also retiring. I am thinking about doing a write in campaign for Stampin’ Up! to bring this set back. In any case, you can only buy it until June 2nd when it will be gone for good. Here is my card:
If you would like to see the other projects made with this photo click HERE. The rest will post at 9:30 EST.
Just Sayin’ is a stamp set that is retiring on June 2nd. The matching Framelits called Starburst are also retiring. I decided to make one last card before it was gone for good. It is kind of hard to tell by the picture, but I cut a curve out of the Whisper White card stock and then placed the smaller circles around the curve. The Bermuda Bay card stock is really attached to the inside of the card but shows because of the curve. Did that make any sense at all? Anyway, if you like this stamp set and the Framelits you need to order them before they retire on June 2nd.
Here is a picture of Madelyn sitting on her Dad’s lap. I think he must be telling her some story that she doesn’t quite believe! She has a very skeptical look on her face.
Here is a quick and easy card to make if you don’t have a lot of time. To make the background, all I did was use an Aqua Painter with a Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana and Soft Sky ink refill. I made the frame using the Deco Label Framelits and the “hello” is from the Hello You Thinlits that in the 2015 Occasions Catalog. The great news is that all of these products are being carried over into the 2015 Annual Catalog!
Don’t forget you only have a couple more days to order from the 2015 Occasions Catalog and the 2014 Annual Catalog. If you want anything from there that is retiring, you will need to order by June 2nd or it may be gone forever!
I am sure none of you are surprised about finally seeing a baby card. After all, I have babies on the brain right now. One of the best baby sets we have available is called Something For Baby. The best part of this stamp set is it has matching Framelits called Baby’s First and both of them are going to be in the new catalog!
Of course, since I just had to post a baby card, I feel like I must also post a Madelyn picture. Here she is at three weeks old. By the way, someone asked me if she was going to get her picture taken every week. As far as I am concerned, the answer better be yes! If I can’t see her every day, then I want lots of pictures and unfortunately, if I get more pictures so do you! Feel free to skip the pictures of Madelyn. Just don’t tell me you do! 🙂
I made this fun and easy card for a friend’s birthday. It uses the stamp set called Banner Banter. This stamp set is in the current catalog and luckily it is going to be in next year’s catalog. This set has a matching punch too, called Banner (duh!), which is always an awesome thing! I made the longer banners using the same punch. You can use the punch to make longer banners too. Here is how you cut them:
Now, for a Madelyn commercial break! This is one of the pictures that a professional photographer took when she was only a week old. Don’t you just love those cheeks!?!
Here is a sneak peek of a new stamp set that will be in the 2015/2016 Stampin’ Up! catalog that comes out in June. It is called You’ve Got This. It is a set of 5 stamps that include the flower, the background and the sentiment that I used on this card. It was a very simple card to make and only took a couple of minutes. I stamped off the background once but probably should have done it a second time so the flower would show up better. The banners were made using the new Banner Triple Punch. I love how it makes three different sized banners. I did cut the one where I used Watermelon Wonder card stock to make it a little thinner but the banner part matches perfectly.
Remember you can’t order this until June 2nd unless you are a demonstrator. If you are interested in becoming one, give me a call, send me an email or click on “Join Now” for more information.
