Saying Goodbye To Chalk Talk

Chalk TalkThis is one of the cards we made at our monthly stamp club meeting.  It uses the stamp set called Chalk Talk which is (sadly) retiring this year.  I love this set and will miss it.  The good news is the matching Framelits are NOT retiring which means maybe there will be another stamp set to match them!

We used a fun technique with this card.  I took a brayer and ink it with Island Indigo and ran it over the Honeycomb Embossing Folder and actually stamped it on the Whisper White card stock.  You could run it through the Big Shot and emboss it too but I decided not to do that with this card.

Here is a picture of Madelyn at one week old.  It is nice to see her eyes open!  I figure my son, Sam, must have been the hair stylist for this photo.  He parted it just like his own!

  1. Love the card – especially the way you skipped spots with the inked folder. It’s perfect! But that baby….GORGEOUS! She is so adorable. Here’s a how-to for Sam. The way her hair is growing, he’ll need it in a few months!
