A Fall Sheltering Tree

Sheltering Tree

This is what my yard looks like right now (only add about 20 more trees).  Although it is beautiful outside, I am not a fan of raking.  I think the rake is leaning against a tree in our yard too while I am inside stamping.  I am not stupid!  Good thing Rob has one of those mulchers on his Cucumber Crush tractor.  He grinds them all up and we are left with a much smaller pile (thank goodness!).  I am thankful for Rob buying that crazy tractor after all.

This card uses the stamp set called Sheltering Tree.  I stamped the trees first and then stamped the leaves in different colors using Stampin Write Markers.

Happy birthday to my wonderful middle sister, Emily!  I hope your day is awesome!

Oh What Fun Tag Project Kit

Oh What Fun Tag Kit

Last week I had a tag kit class using the Stampin’ Up! Oh What Fun Tag Project Kit from the 2015 Holiday Catalog.  There were 6 of us, which is a perfect number.  We had such a good time and the tags were fairly easy to make.  You end up with 30 tags (3 of 10 designs) and it only took us a couple of hours to finish them.  The tags are really cute too.  There are some with bells, glittery snowflakes and bows.  If you are one of those people who love to add a homemade touch to your projects, you should really try this kit.  If you are someone who just uses a big black magic marker (you know who you are!) then it is a nice gift to give someone.

This is what Madelyn looked like after the weekend she stayed with us.  She is quite an eater and I think she gained a few pounds while here!  Just look at the belly!

Watercooler Wednesday WWC40

47a5d720b3127cce98548acc27be0000003010wAbsWbFozaNGbUA

Hello again!  It is Watercooler Wednesday once again!  This time the challenge was given to us by Heidi.  She gave us an “Anything Goes” challenge except that you had to use some kind of holly in your creation.  Here is my card:

Peaceful Wreath, Festive Flower Punch, WWC40

The only stamp set I own that has holly in it is the stamp set called Peaceful.  That set has a holly wreath as well as the holly sprigs I used.  The poinsettia in the middle was made using the new Festive Flower Builder Punch.  It was so easy to do!  You can watch the video below to see how to make it.

Now go to the Watercooler Wednesday blog to see the other beautiful creations HERE.  Don’t forget to make your own and share it with us!

You’ve Got This

You've Got This, Endless Thanks

I started to make this card to use as a Watercooler Wednesday Color Challenge card but I just couldn’t figure out how to use one of the colors in it.  I decided I liked it without the last color so I left it alone and made something else for the challenge.

I used the stamp set called You’ve Got This for the flower.  I think is set was made to use with the Stampin’ Up! Blendabilities but since they are discontinued, I decided to just leave it un-colored (I don’t think that is a word but you know what I mean).  The sentiment and banner is from Endless Thanks.  Endless Thanks is a Photopolymer Stamp Set so you can see exactly where to stamp.

Holly Jolly Greetings

Holly Jolly Greetings

Here is a very simple Christmas card made with the stamp set called Holly Jolly Greetings.  It is one of the new stamp sets that is in the 2015 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog.  You can get a set of Framelits called Christmas Greetings with this stamp set in a Bundle and save 15%.  I didn’t use the set of Framelits in this particular card, but I have used them in previous cards.

I first stamped the snow flakes in Blackberry Bliss.  Then I stamped the tiny little stars in Versamark and sprinkled Gold Embossing Powder or it and heat set that.  The “joy” is also embossed in gold.  There is a Candy Dot that is in the middle of one of the snowflakes .  I colored this Candy Dot using a gold sharpie.  It is so easy to do and a great idea because Candy Dots don’t come in gold right now.

Another Vintage Leaves

Vintage Leaves, One Big Meaning

Today is the last day to get 15% off stamp sets!  Hurry before it is too late!

I know you are all probably sick of all the cards I make using the stamp set called Vintage Leaves but here is another one.  I can’t help.  I love this set especially since it is Fall here and all the leaves are so beautiful.  I think it must be peak season because the yellows, oranges and reds are so bright.  When the sun is shining, which doesn’t happen much in the Fall, the view is spectacular.

I also love the Cording Trim in gold.  I love the silver too, but I just ordered that so I can only use gold for now.  It is bright and shiny and so easy to tie.  Plus it stays tied unlike some cording trim.  If you don’t have any, you really need to buy some!  It is in the 2015 Holiday Catalog.
