Painter’s Palette

Painters Palette

I actually made this card a few weeks ago and was going to post it when I realized that my friend, Buffy had posted a card very similar to this.  I didn’t want her to think I was copying it so I decided to delay the posting.  I should add that it is okay to copy a person’s design.  It actually has a name and it is called CASEing (Copy And Share Everything) and it is one of the things that Stampin’ Up! encourages.  Sometimes you can copy the exact card and sometimes you can change it up a bit and both are fine.  It is nice to give credit to the person you CASEd but if you can’t remember who it was, it is also okay to just say “I saw a card that someone made similar to this but I can’t remember who”.  In any case, I did not mean to CASE Buffy’s card.  It just turned out that way!

I used a new stamp set from the 2016/2017 Annual Catalog called Painter’s Palette.  It is a really cute stamp set that has nine different stamps in it.  There are a bunch of swooshes and splatters along with some sentiments.  It also has an awesome easel that I used previously to make a shaker card HERE.

Since I did make the card a while ago, I used retired Designer Series Paper but you can use any paper you would like.

Here is a picture of my 4th of July cutie.  She was so excited to get the bread to eat, she didn’t care if she lost her shoe!

  1. Are you sure I made a card like this? I don’t remember creating anything that lovely! I love the colors you used. There are so many days I get ready to post something, only to find you got there first. I think we just think alike. Great minds, and all that. Now, about that llama….

    • Thanks Deborah. Miss Amelia is getting cuter by the day, although she is Buffy’s granddaughter. This was a picture of Madelyn. 🙂 They are both the cutest so I know it is hard to keep them straight.
I used Sweet Sugarplum, Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach and Daffodil Delight.

      • Can you see my red face from there, Susan?!! I’m SO sorry for mixing up their names – of course I know this is Madelyn, a.k.a. Pancakes! Please accept my humble apologies 😦 Thanks for sharing the colours that you used for your card – and for sharing the great picture of Madelyn!!

  2. No worries, Deborah! Buffy and I constantly talk about them so it is easy to mix them up when you read both of our posts. Plus, they both have beautiful blue eyes so it is easy to mix them up!
