Fresh Fruit

Fresh Fruit is one of those stamp sets that has been super popular with my customers.  It is such a fun set and has some great sentiments with it.  I think a lot of people purchased it because of the “Love You More” stamp.  It is perfect for parents or grandparents to send to their little ones.  Sadly, it will not be carried over into the new Annual Catalog.

I used the “Rock & Roll” technique to stamp the fruit and leaves.  This is where you ink up a stamp in one color and then lightly roll it around in a darker color so only the edges get inked with that color.  I stamped the pear in Pear Pizzazz (of course) and then Old Olive for the edges.  I stamped the peach in Peekaboo Peach (again, of course!) and then I rolled the edges on the Watermelon Wonder Ink Pad.  The flower was first inked in So Saffron and then Delightful Dijon.  Lastly, the leaves were stamped in Pear Pizzazz first and then Garden Green.

The swoosh in the background came from a stamp in Perpetual Calendar and the sentiment is from So In Love.

  1. Wow – I can’t believe you achieved that look with the rock ‘n’ roll technique, Susan! It honestly looks like you did an amazing water colouring. I wish this set was carrying over, to give me a chance to buy it. Oh well; I guess it wasn’t meant to be! Beautiful card!! 🙂
