French Toast In October

Some of you will get the title of this post right away and others may think I am crazy.  I guess I should start at the beginning so some of you will understand.

My son, Sam and his wife, Tara have a Sheep-a-doodle named Waffles.  Waffles is a crazy but very sweet dog who loves her feet rubbed,  Yes, it is very odd, but if you think about, don’t you like your feet rubbed?  In any case, when Sam and Tara were expecting their first child, I nicknamed him/her (because we didn’t know at the time) Pancakes.  Of course, Pancakes turned out the be Madelyn.

Have you figured it out yet?

Yes, Sam and Tara are expecting again.  French Toast is due in October.  When Tara had the test to find out the sex of the baby, she asked the doctor to email it to a local bakery.  They baked a cupcake for them where the filling would be either blue or pink and gave it to Madelyn to eat.  I don’t think Madelyn has ever eaten cake where everyone was so excited to watch!

French Toast is a boy!  For good or bad, the Horr name will continue.  I’ll have three grand children then!  It is just awesome!

  2. Madelyn is getting so big! And what a cool way to learn these of the baby’s gender. I miss Stamp Club and hearing these stories in person. So grateful for your blog.
