Happiness Blooms Memories & More

Although I am not a scrapbooker, I still use the Stampin’ Up!® Memories & More card packs to make cards.  I wanted to show my club members how quick and easy it is to use them and still make a cute card anyone would want to receive in the mail.  These are the two cards we made at our monthly club meeting.

Stampin’ Up!® has a set of these Memories & More card packs in the 2019 Occasions catalog called Happiness Blooms.  They coordinate with the stamp set called Bloom By Bloom, the Happiness Blooms Designer Series Paper. the Calypso Coral 3/7″ Satin Ribbon (which is gorgeous in person), the punches and the embellishments in this suite.  They also have a set of matching cards & envelopes you can purchase that are really nice.  They look like this:

The  cards & envelopes are White and Night Of Navy and come in two sizes.  The small note cards are 3″ x 4″ and the larger ones are 4″ x 6″.  There are ten of each size in the pack plus ten  envelopes to match.

The sentiments are from a Sale-a-bration stamp set called Part Of my Story.  You can get this stamp set for free with a qualifying order.  Other products we used to make this card are 1 1/2″ Circle Punch, 1 3/4″ Circle Punch, Everyday Label Punch, Bitty Blooms Punch Pack, Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots and 1/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon in Grapefruit Grove.

Home To Roost

I made this card after seeing a few cards my friend, Buffy made using this stamp set.  It is one of the free sets you can get with a qualifying order during Sale-a-bration.  It is called Home To Roost.  I am not a very good colorer and I usually shy away from animal stamp sets but I thought it one was kind of cute.  I have had it for a while but didn’t take it out until Buffy motivated me.

The colors I used on this card are Cherry Cobbler, Mango Melody, Very Vanilla and Night of Navy.  I stamped the rooster and the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then colored the rooster using my Stampin’  Blends.  Truly the only way I can halfway color is to use the Blends.  They make it so easy because they are alcohol markers so they don’t streak and blend well together.  Then I stamped the grass on a piece of Mango Melody cardstock and layered everything together.  It is quick and easy card to make and perfect for a beginner stampers.

Lasting Lily

Today’s BS & J Productions’ Stamp Off Challenge is to use our favorite Sale-a-bration product.  The Sale-a-bration Catalog is full of products you can earn for free with a qualifying purchase.  There are stamp sets, dies, ribbons, embellishments and Designer Series Paper in this catalog.

I decided to use the stamp set called Lasting Lily.  This set is a DisINKtive® stamp set.  This kind of stamp was especially developed by Stampin’ Up!®.  The stamps show depth to them without having to do anything special other than inking them up and stamping them.

I love it when I use black and white with a pop of color so I decided to make my card that way.  The Designer Series Paper I used is also from the Sale-a-bration Catalog (which means you can also get it for free with a qualifying order).  It is called Botanical Butterfly.  This DSP has brightly colored butterflies and other patterns on one side and black and white patterns on the other.

I stamped the lilies in Flirty Flamingo ink and then cut them out.  Then I stamped the stems and leaves on Whisper White cardstock using Granny Apple Green and then cut it out using my Layering Circles Framelits in my Big Shot.  I cut a larger circle out in Basic Black cardstock.  I adhered the circles to each other and then onto the cardstock.  I adhered the flowers on top.  Lastly, I stamped the sentiment in Versamark Ink and then heat embossed it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and my Heat Gun.  I hand cut out the ends of the banners.

Now let’s go see what products Jackie and Buffy used.  I am sure you are going to love their projects.  They are both amazing crafters!

Lasting Lily

This is the third card we made at our monthly stamp club meeting.  It uses a stamp set from the 2019 Sale-a-bration Catalog called Lasting Lily.  You can get this stamp set for FREE with a $100 order.  This set is one of the Stampin’ Up!® DisINKtive stamp sets.  These sets are different in that they are made to show depth to an image. They add light and dark sections to the images so they look almost 3D.  Sometimes these stamps work better using a dauber or a sponge to ink it.  I think it depends on how much ink your pad has.  We did not need to do this with this set but some of the sets that have larger images need that.

The colors I used on this card are Petal Pink, Soft Sea Foam and Whisper White.  I first stamped the flower in Petal Pink and then the stems and leaves in Soft Sea Foam.  After that I adhered a 1/2″ piece of Soft Seam Foam cardstock onto the piece of Whisper White before running it through the Big Shot using the rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies.  This way you don’t need to line up the stitching between the two pieces because it cuts them at the same time.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment in Soft Sea Foam ink onto a piece of Petal Pink cardstock and ran that through the Big Shot also using the Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies.
