There are less than two weeks left for Sale-a-bration. Avant Garden is one of the stamp sets you can get for FREE with a qualifying purchase. It is my favorite stamp set in the catalog. It is kind of a funny set. There are a couple of very realistic stamps in it and a couple of more artsy stamps. There is something for everyone!
To make this card I stamped the flower in Calypso Coral, Pool Party and So Saffron. Then I stamped the leaf in Wild Wasabi. The sentiment is cut out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies. This set of dies is a must have. It is also one of my favorites.
I made this card using a new stamp set from the 2017 Occasions Catalog called Nailed It. It was one of those sets that didn’t catch my eye right away but the more I looked at it, the more I decided I had to have it. I think what happened is it has a Happy Fathers Day stamp in it and since I don’t have any fathers left I didn’t think I needed it. The thing is, it makes a great man card. All the tools and the sentiments are perfect for that.
The other nice thing about this stamp set is it has a set of matching Framelits called Build It. Ya gotta love any stamp set that has matching Framelits!

This week our Stamp Off Challenge is a sketch challenge. Sketch challenges are always my favorite because I find them the easiest. I know I need to get out of my comfort zone but Jackie and Buffy make me do that all the time so it is nice to have an easier challenge for me once in a while. Of course, sometimes I can’t get out of my comfort zone which is when I usually cheat a bit on the challenge.
This is the sketch we needed to follow:
Here is my card:
(Please note that I did follow the sketch challenge!)
I decided to use the stamp set called Beautiful You. Jackie and Buffy use it a lot but I tend to forget about this set. I do love it but I love so many sets that it is hard to choose which one to use. This really is a beautiful set with nice images and sentiments. I used Stitched Shapes Framelits to cut out the image and sentiment. This set of Framelits is great because it has circles, ovals and squares all in one set. They aren’t in the catalog but you can still order them (look below for the order number).
Now let’s go see what Jackie and Buffy made with this challenge. Do you think they followed the rules? I bet they did!
Here is a quick and easy gift card holder for that last minute gift you couldn’t come up with. There are just some people that are hard to buy for. You look and look for a gift and come up with nothing. There are only a couple more days left until Christmas. Now is the time to settle on a gift card. You can buy one from a local restaurant, a department store, Amazon or me! Yes, I do sell gift certificates for that hard to buy for person.
This gift card holder was very easy to make. There is a pocket at the top where you can just pop a gift card into. I used the stamp set called Hang Your Stocking for the sentiment and holly. Then I cut it out using the Layering Circles Framelits (which just happen to be on sale this month). The Designer Series Paper is called This Christmas and can be found in the 2017 Annual Catalog.
This is another one of the cards we made at our monthly Stampin’ Club meeting. It is a fun fold card called Diagonal Gate Fold. Here is what it looks like when you open it.
It is really easy to make and is a Fun surprise when you open it. I saw the original card like this on Pinterest which lead me to Dawn Griffith’s web site for directions. You can see them here.
We used the stamp set called Merriest Wishes to make this card. It is a stamp set in the Holiday Catalog that has a set of matching Framelit Dies called Merry Tags. You can save 10% by purchasing them both in a Bundle. This set is so cute and makes great tags for all your holiday presents. The Designer Series Paper is called This Christmas Specialty and is actually in the Annual Catalog. There are six different double sided designs and you get four of each.
One of my favorites sets in the Annual Catalog is called Mixed Borders. This set a bunch of stamps that can be used as a border, yet they have a space in-between them to put a sentiment in. There are design borders as well as flower and a leaf border. In this card I stamped a border three times. It is easy to do because this set is Photopolymer which means you can see through it so you can stamp exactly where you want. This set also has four different sentiments that fit in the space between both sides of the borders. The dots on the sentiment is also a border stamp.
Don’t forget the 25% Off Stamp Sale this month and the new Stitched Shapes Framelits. You can see them in yesterday’s post.
