Party Pandas

Today is my friend, Lynette’s birthday.  I had no doubt about which stamp set I would use to make her a card.  Lynette is fun, spunky, enthusiastic, a little crazy (sorry Lynette) and just great to have around.  She is part of my stamp club and she always makes it fun.  I knew she would love the stamp set called Party Pandas the second I saw it.  Lynette loves the pigs and she loved the chicken set so there was no doubt she would love this one.

The best part about Party Pandas is it is one of the Sale-a-bration stamp sets that you can get for FREE with a qualifying order.  Place an order of $50 or more and you can choose this set in wood mount or clear mount.  It has three cute little pandas and a couple of sentiments to go with them.

The Designer Series Paper I used for her card is called Picture Perfect Party and is in the 2018 Occasions catalog.  One side of this paper has photographs of things like balloons and bows and the other side has fun patterns.  I added the Tutti-fruitti Adhesive Backed Sequins to make it look like the Panda was juggling.  I saw Patty Bennett use the Enamel Dots this way and thought it was cute.

Happy Birthday, Lynette.  I hope you have a really fun day!

Crafting Forever Fun Fold

I know I have told you this before but there are so many great reasons for becoming a Demonstrator.  The best reason of all is going to OnStage and meeting some of my best friends there.  Deborah Smart is one of those people.  We talked on the Demo Only forum for many years before we finally got to meet at the OnStage in Orlando a few years ago.  Deborah is awesome.  She is very talented and I enjoy reading her blog every day.  I feel like I have known her forever.

A little while ago she posted a fun fold card that I loved and knew I had to make it.  You can see Deborah’s card HERE (plus if you go to her website “follow” her.  You will love her creations but I will warn you that she will make you want everything she uses!).

I used the stamp set called Crafting Forever to make this card.  I love this set.  It is such fun to color.  I used my Stampin’ Blends.

Here is what it looks like when you open the front flap.

This is what it looks like after opening the second flap.

This is a picture looking down so you can see all the flaps.  Isn’t this a fun card?

Celebration Time

Tomorrow is an exciting day in the world of Stampin’ Up!.  It is the beginning of Sale-a-bration and the start of the 2018 Occasions Catalog.  Both of these catalogs have amazing products in them.

Sale-a-bration is where you can get products from the Sale-a-bration Catalog for FREE with a qualifying order.  You can choose between stamps, card kits, ribbon, Designer Series Paper, Memories or More, cards and envelopes and even a set of amazing dies!

Something new this year with Sale-a-braiton is there are two different tiers.  There are products you can get free with a $50 order (before tax and shipping) or $100 order.  Plus, there is no limit to the amount of things you can get free. It is an awesome deal!

The card I made uses a product from the Sale-a-bration Catalog called Celebrate You Thinlits Dies. They are my favorite thing in the entire catalog.  Be prepared because you are going to see me use them a lot!  You can get these dies for free with a $100 order!  Yes, I said FREE!

The stamp is from the stamp set called Celebration Time.  This set has matching dies called Celebration Thinlits and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.  If you do so, you are halfway there to earning the Celebrate You Thinlits Dies for free.

Here is a sneak peek of a video showing two of the amazing products you can get for free!

As a reminder, today is the last day to order from the 2017 Holiday Catalog so if you want anything in there, you better order today!

Butterfly Basics Sympathy Card

No one likes to have to send a sympathy card but sometimes you have to so I try to keep a couple on hand.  I made this card using a couple of different stamp sets.  The flowers are from Butterfly Basics.  This stamp set has been around for a little while but it hasn’t seen any ink in a long time.  You know how it is.  I get new stamp sets that I am so excited about and those poor older sets sit there on the shelf so lonely and sad.  This past month I have been trying to get out those sets.  They made me happy once and they still make me happy!

The sentiment is from Rose Wonder, another older lonely set.  This set has some great sentiments that can be used for most every occasion.  It has wedding, birthday, thank you and sympathy sentiments in it.  I love sets that can be so versatile.

The embossing folder is from the 2017 Holiday Catalog and is called Quilt Top.  Although the stamp set called Christmas Quilt and the Quilt Builder dies are retiring, this embossing folder is not.  By the way, don’t forget this is the last week you will be able to buy some of the products in the Holiday Catalog because they will be retiring on January 2nd. Christmas Quilt

This year has been another crazy November and December for me.  I traveled a lot.  A new baby boy grandchild was born, I had to go help my 92 year old Mother for a few days after her surgery and we went to see another grandchild who lives in Alabama.   Then, as you know, Rob had hip replacement surgery.

As a result of this I didn’t have a lot of time to make elaborate Christmas cards.   I needed to go simple and the stamp set called Christmas Quilt was perfect for this. This stamp set is in the Holiday Catalog and it has a set of matching dies called Quilt Builder Framelits. Unfortunately, it is going to retire at the end of this month for good so if you like it you will need to order it before then.  By the way, if you order the Bundle you can save 10%!

Christmas Quilt is a two step stamp set.  The tree is made up of two different stamps that you layer on top of each other to make one image.  The stamps are Photopolymer so it is super easy to line up.  The sentiment is from Star Of Light.

I would like to wish everyone and very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and an amazing New Year.  Thank you for all your purchases, comments and support you give me throughout the year.  It is wasn’t for you, I would not be writing this crazy blog.

Color Me Happy

Color Me Happy is stamp set that is only around for a limited time.  Once supplies are gone, this set will be gone forever.  It has a matching card kit also called Color Me Happy.  Stampin’ Up! made these two items in honor of introducing their new Stampin’ Blends.  Stampin’ Blends are alcohol markers that come in our exclusive colors.  They come in 12 different Stampin’ Up!  colors plus an Ivory, Bronze and Color Lifter.  Coloring was never so easy!  They don’t show stroke marks because they blend together.  They are perfect for beginner and expert colorers.  If you haven’t tried them I would suggest just buying the light and dark of a couple of colors or you can be a crazy person like me and purchase the entire set all at once!

I used the light and dark Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral and Pool Party Stampin’ Blends on this card.

Tabs For Everything

Tabs For Everything is one of the stamp set I got for free while attending a Stampin’ Up! OnStage event.  I love those events.  We get free stuff (which is awesome) but more importantly we get to spend time with other Demos. Some of them I met online and finally got to meet in person and others just live too far away to see often so it gives us an excuse to see each other again.  We also learn new techniques and just have a lot of fun.  If you are interested in attending one of these events (the next one is in April) then you need to join as a Demonstrators because customers can not attend.  It only costs $99 (plus tax) to join and you get $125 worth of free product of your choice.  Plus, if you join between during Sale-a-bration (January 3rd -March 31st) you can two more stamps sets for free!  So think about it for a couple of weeks and just say yes!  There is no obligation to buy another thing if you don’t want to but I know you will want to!  If you are going to place a $100, then it will even save you money because Stampin’ Up! doesn’t charge shipping for Starter Kits!

Anyway, I made this card for one of my 15 December birthdays.  It is a simple birthday card and I decided it was perfect for a masculine card.  Tabs For Everything has a matching punch called Circle Tab and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.
