Honey Bee

As you already know, the Honey Bee stamp set and the matching Detailed Bee Dies are one of my favorite Bundles in the 2020 Mini Catalog.  Here is another card that I made using this Bundle but it is a little different than the other ones.  I wanted to show you there are other ways to use this set without the gorgeous Designer Series Paper that goes with it, as well as only using Black, White and Gold.

The colors I used for this card are Purple Posy, Garden Green, Daffodil Delight and Blackberry Bliss.  I first stamped the flowers in Garden Green ink and colored them using my Blackberry Bliss Stampin Blends.  I stamped the bees in Memento Black Ink and colored them using a Daffodil Delight Stampin Blends.  Then I cut them out using the Detailed Bee dies (and of course, you can save 10% by purchasing the Honey Bee stamp set and Detailed Bee Dies in a Bundle).  I popped up the bees using a Dimensional.  I stamped the sentiment in Blackberry Bliss ink and layered that onto a piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock and a piece of Purple Posy cardstock that I had cut out using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.  I used a piece of the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper.

Tomorrow is the last day of Sale-a-bration.  Don’t miss out in getting free products with a qualifying order or joining Stampin’ Up!® with an amazing offer.

Bugs, Bees or Butterflies

Hello everyone.  It is time for another Stamp Off Challenge with Jackie, Buffy and me.  This time we have a theme called Bugs, Bees or Butterflies.  I am sure it is no surprise that I chose bees.  I just love the stamp set called Honey Bee with the matching Detailed Bee Dies and the paper that you can get for FREE with a qualifying order called Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper!

I did something a little different with the bees this time (although you can’t see it in the photo).  I stamped them in black in and then embossed them with clear embossing powder.  It made the bees darker and very shiny.  I thought they looked great with the Golf Foil Sheets.  I tried to do a close up photo of them but it still did not show the shininess so you will have to take my word for it.

I stamped the sentiment in Black ink and then cut it out using the new Stitched So Sweetly Dies.  Then I cut the same shape out of Basic Black cardstock and layered it behind the Whisper White to give it a little shadow.  By the way, if you purchase the Honey Bee Stamp set and the Detailed Bees Dies (at a 10% discount) and you added the Stitched So Sweetly Die set, you could get the Golden Honey Designer Series Paper for FREE!

Now, let’s go see what Jackie and Buffy have made.  This is my favorite part of our Stamp Off day!

Honey Bee

Welcome everyone!  Today is another BD & J Productions Stamp Off Challenge.  This time we need to make something using our favorite Sale-a-bration product.  My favorite is by far, the Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper.  I just love this paper!

Here is my card.

One of my favorite bundles in the Stampin’ Up!® 2020 Spring Catalog has a stamp set called Honey Bee.  It has a set of matching dies called Detailed Bees and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.  The stamp set includes two different bees, a hive, some flowers and sentiments.  The dies cut out the various stamped images plus also cuts out the background hexagon hive.  I just love it!  To top it all off, Sale-a-bration has beautiful Designer Series Paper called Golden Honey Specialty Paper which is all black, white and gold foil.  It is gorgeous!  Another terrific thing about this entire set is the dies also cut out some of the bees in the Designer Series Paper!  I love it how Stampin’ Up!® coordinates their products.

To make this card, I first cut out the three bees using the Sale-a-bration Designer Series Paper.  I also cut out the hive using this paper.  Isn’t it fun?!  You can save a little money by taking a piece of 3.75″ x 5″ Gold Foil Paper and cutting the hexagon hive out of the middle. After you put a smaller piece of Whisper White cardstock over it, no one will ever know you cut that piece out of it.  I decided to adhere a few of the hexagons back into the hive in random places.  Another hint is to use Multipurpose Glue when adhered Foil Paper.  It holds much better than regular Snail.

If you purchase the Honey Bee Bundle you only need to add a pack of Whisper White cardstock or a couple of packs of Gold Foil Paper to reach $50 and get the matching Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper for FREE during Sale-a-bration!!
