Everywhere I look people have these beautiful Geraniums in their yards. They hang from porches and are planted in big pots all over the place. I love Geraniums but unfortunately I am a plant killer. Either I over water them or forget to water them at all so they just shrivel up and die. It is sad and pathetic.
Stampin’ Up! doesn’t have a Geranium stamp so I thought I would make my own. I used a couple of flowers from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set that is in the Annual Catalog. It is a two set stamp set which means you use two stamps to make one image. I used Berry Burst and Powder Pink to make the flowers. Then I used an Aqua Painter to soften them.
The border is a new punch in the catalog. It is called Decorative Ribbon Border.
Here is a picture of Emory Jade on her first 4th of July. She has these beautiful big brown eyes. She is also growing up way too fast!
This is the second card we made at our monthly stamp club meeting last week. It is a fun fold card using a new Bundle called Colorful Seasons. The Bundle includes the stamp set also called Colorful Seasons and dies called Seasonal Layers. If you buy them both in this Bundle you will save 10%.
This card is actually a tri-fold card so it opens three ways.
This Bundle is extremely popular with my customers because it is so much fun. There are images for every season and it has the cutest Adirondack Chair in the die set.
A couple of week ago, all my kids were able to come home for a memorial service. It was the first time Emory Jade came to visit. She is already three months old. Time really needs to slow down. Her Daddy, Zachary, flew all the way from Alabama all by myself with her. Emory’s mom was not able to come. Zachary was so brave to do this alone. Emory and he very well though. Emory got to meet the rest of the family, which was awesome. Just look at those cheeks! They got lots of kisses during this time!
Today just happens to be Zachary’s 30th birthday. I am so proud of him. He is an awesome Dad and an awesome man. Happy Birthday, Zachary. I love you!
Vertical Greetings is a stamp set that is in the 2016 current Annual Catalog and will also be carried over in the new Annual Catalog that comes out June 1st. It is a great stamp set because all the sentiments are vertical instead of horizontal. This allows you to stamp a sentiment in a small skinny section of your card. It is extremely popular with my customers because it is so different.
I inked the flowers and pot using my Stampin’ Write Markers. They are great for coloring one stamp different colors. Al you need to do is color each section and then “huff” over the ink to moisten it. It is really easy to do and works well.
I embossed the sentiment with Versamark and then sprinkled White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on top of it. Then I heated it up with my Heat Tool to melt the embossing powder.
Emory Jade is 11 weeks old already and is growing like a weed. Here is a picture of her with her Dad at a concert. I think she likes the music!
Today’s Stamp Off Challenge with Jackie and Buffy is to make a baby card (well it doesn’t have to be a card as you will soon see!).
The timing of this theme could not be better! Right now I am in Alabama visiting my brand new granddaughter, Emory Jade. Let me tell you. She is just beautiful. She is only a couple of hours old here.
Mary and Zachary (Emory’s Mom & Dad) came to our house at Christmas. Mary had been here before and had seen a wreath I had made using paper flowers. She asked if I would cover a giant “E” with flowers to put over Emory’s crib. The E was probably 2 – 2 1/2 feet in length. I decided it would be more fun for Emory and Mary if she helped. We spent a lot of hours cutting out flowers, glueing them together and then glueing them on the E. We used a variety of new and retired Stampin’ Up! dies.
Here is a picture of the E on Emory’s wall. I think it came out pretty.
Now, let’s go see what Jackie and Buffy made for their baby themed project.
We interrupt the regularly scheduled program to make an announcement. I have a new grand daughter! Her name is Emory Jade and she is just beautiful. Emory was born on February 27th at 5:27 EST. She weighed a whopping 8 lbs 7 oz! My children were all big babies so that was not a surprise!
So let me introduce Emory Jade.
She looks pretty peaceful in this picture but apparently her first night in this world was not a happy one. I can’t blame her a bit. She was all warm and cozy and then all of a sudden here she is with bright lights and craziness.
