Butterfly Gala

Butterfly Gala is a stamp set that is in the 2019 Occasions Catalog.  It has a matching Punch called Butterfly Duet Punch and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle until June 3rd.  I never got a chance to use this set after I first ordered it.  Normally Stampin’ Up!® sells about 10,000 punches.  When this catalog came out, they sold twice that amount.  That was totally unexpected!  They had trouble getting it back in stock so it became un-orderable for a long time.  Thankfully it is back in stock now and it will be carrying over into the new Annual Catalog that comes out June 4th.  If you like it you need to take advantage of the 10% discount because when it goes in the new catalog it will not be offered as a Bundle.

To make this card, I inked up the large butterfly only and stamped it a few times using Memento Black Ink.  Then I inked up the small butterfly only and stamped that.  The butterflies are actually attached to each other which makes it easier to punch out but I wanted to stamp them randomly around so I only did one at a time.  You can mask off the butterfly you are not using or you can just ink carefully.  I masked.  I thought it needed something more so I added the flower stamp from Bloom By Bloom.  This stamp set will be retiring on June 3rd. I stamped the sentiment in Memento Black Ink and punched it out using the Tailored Tag Punch.  Then I stamped one more butterfly and colored it using my Cherry Cobbler, Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green and Balmy Blue Stampin’  Write Markers. Then I punched it out and adhered it to the card.

One Sheet Wonder

Hello everyone.  It is time again for another BS & J Productions Challenge.  This time our challenge is to use the technique called One Sheet Wonder.  This is where you make a bunch of different cards using one sheet of Designer Series Paper.  We all know how hard it is to cut that beautiful DSP so this is a great way for you to do it.

I cut mine a little differently than the original picture (but for some reason the original picture is not showing up on my blog this morning so I deleted it) but that is the great thing about Jackie and Buffy.  It is ok to change things up a bit.  This was the way I cut my DSP:

Here are my cards:

The Designer Series Paper I used is the 2018-2020 In Color 6″ x 6″ paper in Lovely Lipstick. The rest of the colors I used were also In Colors (Pineapple Punch, Call Me Clover and Blueberry Bushel). Each of the cards use the stamp set called Bloom By Bloom.  This set is in the 2019 Occasions Catalog.  It has matching punches called Bitty Blossoms Punch Pack and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.  Bloom By Bloom doesn’t have any sentiments so I used some from various sets.  They were Birthday Cheer, Life Is Grand, and Itty Bitty Birthdays. I cut the various flowers out using a variety of dies such as Stitched Shapes and Rectangle Stitched Dies.

Now let’s go see what beautiful creations Buffy and Jackie made.  I am sure we will all be delighted!

Bloom By Bloom Sneak Peek

Here is another card using a new stamp set that will be in the 2019 Occasions Catalog called Bloom By Bloom.  This stamp set is part of a suite called Happiness Blooms.  This suite includes this stamp set, gorgeous Designer Series Paper clued Happiness Blooms, ribbon, enamel dots, an embossing folders, 4 mini punches and a Memories & More Card Pack.   I love this set because it has big, bold flowers and leaves and the DSP has big, bold prints in bright colors.  You can purchase the stamps and the Bitty Blooms Punch Pack in a Bundle and save 10%.

This card is a perfect card for a beginner stamper.  It is Clean And Simple (CAS) and all you need is some stamps, cardstock and ink.

To make this card, I first stamped the background in Crumb Cake ink.  Then I stamped the flowers in Gorgeous Grape, the leaves in Tranquil Tide and the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.  The sentiment is from a retired set called Hello Friend.  I don’t usually use retired stamps on my blog but I needed an “hello” card and it seemed to fit well because it is a bold sentiment.

Tomorrow is a wonderful day in the world of Stampin’ Up!®!  It is the beginning of Sale-a-bration  and the 2019 Occasions Catalog.  It is an awesome time to be a stamper and/or become a Demonstrator.  You can earn FREE merchandise with a qualifying purchase and get an extra $25 in Hostess Benefits with a $250 single or group order! If you join my Stampin Up! family you can get a $175 worth of products for $99  or get the Carry & Craft Tote and $175 worth of products for $129!

OnStage Sneak Peeks

Here are couple of cards we made at OnStage in November.  They use new stamp sets that will be in the 2019 Occasions Catalog.

The first uses a new stamp set called Bloom By Bloom.  It is part of a Suite that is called Happiness Blooms.  The colors in this Suite are bright and beautiful.  The Suite includes this stamp set, matching Bitty Blooms Punch Pack (which you can save 10% by purchasing in a Bundle), Happiness Blooms Designer Series Paper, ribbon, embellishments, a Memories and More Card Pack and an Embossing Folder.  If you love bright colors like I do, you will love this suite.  The colors in the Suite are Call Me Clover, Calypso Coral, Lovely Lipstick, Night Of Navy and Pineapple Punch.

This card was made using the stamp set called Amazing Life.  This is one of the stamp sets I got for free at OnStage.   It is a great all around set that can be used for many occasions.

To make this card, I used my Stamparatus to stamp the sentiment multiple times using Crumb Cake Ink on a Whisper White Narrow Note Card.  These cards are 2 1/2″ by 4 1/2″ and come with matching envelopes. I also stamped the cake and candle in Crumb Cake and then colored it with my Stampin’ Up!® Blends in Petal Pink, Call Me Clover and Daffodil Delight.  Then I cut out the image using the Stitched Shapes Framelits and the scalloped piece in Blackberry Bliss using the Layering Circle Framelits.

Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators will be able to pre-order items from this Catalog in early December.  That is one of the best perks of becoming a Demo (other than a great discount on all products).  If you are interested in becoming a Demo, you can click on the “Join Now” button to the right of this post or you can contact me with any questions you might have.

If you would like a copy of the 2019 Occasions and Sale-a-bration Catalogs, just let me know.  They should be available for pickup in mid December.
